Water can be provided by the following means:

• water towers, which is run by a wind pump and does its work automatically
• wells, which has to be clicked to provide buckets of water
• storage facilitys, which may make it possible to take it with you easily over distances.

It is needed for the care of plants and animals. They can be either provided with water manually by an avatar, an NPC, who does the work of an avatar or automatically. Water is also needed for cooking and other purposes (see also recipes).
